Summary
Tends one or more machine tools, special purpose machines, and boxing product for shipping metal work pieces to specifications on production basis by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Fully competent to perform all positions on a minimum of two or more production lines in the facility
Position will also be able to complete a wide variety duties such assembling parts in specified relationship to each other, fastens parts together using specified hardware with hand and power tools and operates machinery to perform required operations.
Position moves from work station to work station as production requires.
Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to responsibilities
Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
Other duties as required

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
