Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor directs and coordinates activities of one or more product lines within the manufacturing environment in formulating and administering training and establishing and developing lean processes to maintain production standards and increase quality standards and achieve production goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Schedule production lines and deploy necessary manpower and resources to ensure work flow does not fall below scheduled daily operations.
Maintain safe work environment by training, coaching/counseling and holding employees to company standards regarding safety and OSHA compliance.
Monitor production levels and talk with employees to ensure daily and monthly goals are being achieved. Redirect employees when deficiencies are identified and get their assistance in correcting the errors.
Implement various lean projects to each respective production line. Train and monitor employee performances using matrices to ensure maximum productivity is being achieved.
Monitor and approve Kronos time card system to ensure employees are clocking in and being consistent wit the plant attendance and control policies.
Track and record all overtime as to the validity and purposefulness in regards to production needs. Control spending on production equipment (i.e. small tools, shop supplies, PPE equipment, etc.).
Miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.

Education and/or Experience
Associate's Degree (A.A.S.) in Management or Engineering from an accredited two-year College or University; and five plus years of related technical experience and/or training; Bachelor's's Degree preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Excel Spreadsheet software and MS Word, MS PowerPoint Word Processing.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
