Part-Time Kennel Assistant

Tarboro, NC Tarboro, NC Part-time Part-time $8 - $10 an hour $8 - $10 an hour We are looking to add an eager, hard-working part-time Kennel Assistant to our team! The hours would be Mon-Fri 3-until and weekends and holidays 7am-until and 4pm-until.
The primary purpose of this position is to assist in providing a clean, odor free and safe environment, therefore preventing the spread of disease in the hospital and providing for the animals by keeping them in a clean and comfortable environment.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Feed, walk, exercise, and medicate animals as needed in our care.
Follow cage card and treatment board instructions very carefully.
Clean up after animals both inside and outside of the facility.
Bringing animals to and from the kennel when checking in or out.
Maintain the entire hospital's cleanliness, not limited to the kennel.
Letting a technician or Doctor know when something is wrong with an animal.
Must be available during the week and on weekends and holidays to care for our boarding pets.
Other duties assigned to you by administration or DVM Prerequisites:
Must be able to effectively communicate verbally as well as in writing.
Must have a team member attitude.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to frequently walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch and lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to properly follow instructions in written, verbal or diagram form.
Candidates will be required to have a background check and pass a drug screen.
